Getting Started

New to CabinGetaway? Start here.

How do I list my cabin?

Click "List Your Cabin" in the header, create your owner account, choose a listing plan, then fill in your cabin's details — title, description, photos, amenities, location, and pricing. Your listing goes live after a quick review (usually within 24 hours).

Is there an approval process?

Yes — all new listings are reviewed by our team before going live. We check for accuracy, photo quality, and appropriate content. This usually takes less than 24 hours on business days.

Do I need to be the property owner?

You must have the legal right to rent the cabin. This can be as the property owner, a property manager with written permission, or a licensed vacation rental manager. By submitting a listing, you confirm you have this right.

What makes a great cabin listing?

Great listings have: high-quality photos (at least 8-10), an accurate and detailed description, clearly listed amenities, transparent pricing, and a precise location. Listings with all fields completed get significantly more inquiries.

Your Listing

Managing and optimizing your cabin listing.

How many photos should I upload?

We recommend at least 10 photos including: exterior, main living area, kitchen, all bedrooms, bathrooms, outdoor spaces, and any special amenities like a hot tub or fire pit. High-quality, well-lit photos are the #1 factor in getting inquiries.

Can I edit my listing after it goes live?

Yes — log into your dashboard, go to My Listings, and click Edit. Changes to pricing, photos, and descriptions take effect immediately. Major changes (like location) may trigger a brief re-review.

Can I pause my listing without canceling?

Yes — you can pause your listing from the dashboard. Paused listings are hidden from search but your account and data remain active. Billing continues while paused; cancel your plan to stop billing.

How do I set my pricing?

You set your own nightly rate. We recommend researching similar cabins in your area on other platforms. You can also offer seasonal pricing by mentioning it in your description and adjusting as needed.

Billing & Plans

Understanding your subscription.

What plans are available?

We offer three plans: Basic ($19/mo — 1 listing), Standard ($39/mo — up to 3 listings + featured badge), and Premium ($69/mo — unlimited listings + homepage featured slot). Annual billing saves you 2 months.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes — cancel from your dashboard at any time. Your listing remains active until the end of your current billing period. We don't charge cancellation fees.

Do you offer refunds?

We don't offer refunds for partial months. If you cancel, your listing stays live until period end. If you experience a technical issue preventing access, contact support and we'll resolve it.

Can I change plans?

Yes — upgrade or downgrade from your dashboard. Upgrades take effect immediately (prorated). Downgrades take effect at the start of your next billing period.

Guests & Bookings

Managing inquiries and guest communication.

How do guests contact me?

Guests send you a message directly through the listing page. You'll receive an email notification and can reply through your dashboard. All communication is logged in your dashboard inbox.

Can I decline a guest inquiry?

Absolutely — you're in full control. You decide who stays at your cabin. Simply reply to the guest explaining you're unavailable for those dates or that their request isn't a fit.

Do you handle booking contracts or agreements?

CabinGetaway doesn't provide booking contracts. We recommend using a simple rental agreement that outlines check-in/out times, house rules, cancellation policy, and payment terms. We can point you to free templates in our Help Center.

Payments

Collecting money from guests.

How do I collect payment from guests?

CabinGetaway doesn't process guest payments — you collect directly from guests in whatever way works for you: Venmo, Zelle, PayPal, bank transfer, or credit card via Square or Stripe (your own account). This keeps 100% of the rental income with you.

Does CabinGetaway take a commission from my rental income?

Never. You pay a flat monthly subscription fee. We take zero commission from any rental income you collect. Every dollar guests pay you is yours.

Am I responsible for collecting and remitting taxes?

Yes — you are responsible for any applicable local occupancy taxes, sales taxes, or short-term rental taxes in your area. We recommend consulting a local accountant or visiting your county's website for requirements.

Account & Support

How do I reset my password?

Go to the login page and click "Forgot Password." You'll receive an email with a reset link within a few minutes. Check your spam folder if you don't see it.

How do I contact support?

Email us at hello@cabingetaway.net or use the Contact page. Standard plan owners get priority email support. Premium owners get 24/7 priority support.
