Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using CabinGetaway (cabingetaway.net), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our service. These terms apply to all visitors, guests, and cabin owners.

2. The Service

CabinGetaway is an online marketplace that connects cabin owners ("Owners") with travelers seeking cabin rentals ("Guests"). CabinGetaway is a platform provider only — we are not a party to any rental agreement between Owners and Guests, and we do not own, manage, or control any cabins listed on the platform.

CabinGetaway does not process rental payments between guests and owners. All rental transactions are conducted directly between the parties.

3. User Accounts

To list a cabin or send messages, you must create an account. You agree to:

• Provide accurate and complete registration information
• Maintain the security of your password and not share account access
• Notify us immediately of any unauthorized account use
• Be at least 18 years old to create an account

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. Cabin Listings

Owners are responsible for:

• Ensuring all listing information is accurate, complete, and not misleading
• Having the legal right to rent the property (as owner, authorized manager, or agent)
• Complying with all local laws regarding short-term rentals, including licensing and tax requirements
• Maintaining adequate property insurance
• Providing a safe and habitable cabin for guests

CabinGetaway reserves the right to remove listings that violate these terms, contain inaccurate information, or are otherwise deemed inappropriate at our sole discretion.

5. Guest Rules

Guests using CabinGetaway agree to:

• Contact owners respectfully and in good faith
• Honor any rental agreements made with owners
• Treat cabin properties with care and respect house rules
• Not misrepresent the number of occupants or intended use of the property

6. Platform Subscription Payments

Cabin owners pay a recurring monthly or annual subscription fee to list on CabinGetaway. Fees are billed in advance and are non-refundable for partial periods. Payments are processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize recurring charges until you cancel.

CabinGetaway does not charge guests any fees and does not facilitate or process rental payments between owners and guests.

7. Prohibited Uses

You may not use CabinGetaway to:

• Post false, misleading, or fraudulent listings
• Harass, threaten, or abuse other users
• Scrape, copy, or redistribute our content without permission
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems
• Use the platform for any illegal purpose
• Post listings for properties you do not have the right to rent

8. Limitation of Liability

CabinGetaway provides a platform for listing and discovering cabin rentals. We are not responsible for:

• The accuracy of listing information provided by owners
• The condition, safety, or suitability of any cabin property
• Disputes between guests and owners
• Payment transactions conducted outside our platform
• Any damages arising from use of or inability to use the service

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CabinGetaway's liability is limited to the amount you paid for your subscription in the 3 months preceding any claim.

9. Termination

Either party may terminate at any time. You may cancel your subscription from your dashboard. We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms. Provisions regarding liability, intellectual property, and governing law survive termination.

10. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kansas, United States. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Johnson County, Kansas, or through binding arbitration at our election.
